"Jim Thompson was "far and away" the most affordable contracter (both on this service site and from other companies we called for price quotes). At the time of this review, the economy is shaky and he had a full schedule when we set up our service. His crew showed up on time and when we came back, the floors looked great. We had some seriously worn floors from a combination of heavy use, two little girls running around in dress up shoes and us not doing a great job of maintaining the beautiful finish it had when we bought the house. I know Jim uses water-based sealants which also keeps costs down but may be a factor for you."
