"He was very prompt getting to us. He worked with us to figure out whether we wanted to paint or stain. He sanded and solid-stained a spot. Then when the wood turned out to be so beautiful, wechanged completely to sand thouroughly and seal the wood for the natural color. He has one more coat of sealer to go. It is beautiful. We have contracted with him to paint another door and to powerwash the house."

Oil-based paints are rarely used for finishes anymore because the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has put a limit on the amount of volatile chemicals that can be used.
