"I was called immediately after making my request to Service Magic and made an appointment. I was given a time rather than a window of time, which allowed me to schedule it around my work schedule. Rick called before he arrived and let me know we was at the hardware store looking at what the options would be for my repairs before we came to my house. The door repair is an unusual repair and Rick was able to repair the door so that it could again be locked. To restore the door to original working order it would require replacing the lock and at that time I was satisfied with the repair done. He also repaired me screen door free of charge. "

Comment: My door and the door knob set is old. I purchased a new door knob but the latch does not fit the pre-exciting tie bolt hole. I don’t know if front door knobs with a latch are made the same anymore. The center of cross bore handle hole to bottom tie bolt/screw is 7inches. The purchased is 8. Should I continue to search for the right door knob or drill a new hole?
