"We had a relatively small job that we wanted to be done by professionals. Brett and Primo are certainly that! Everything was handled efficiently and with considerable care. In a day when good customer service seems to be a thing of the past, these two have read an old manual on "how to do it right." You even get pleasing personalities with a gentle sense of humor. Small project, medium, or large -- now we know where to go!"

"I was looking for someone to finish spackling my drywall in my basement. Had someone out before who couldn’t finish the job and made a lot of mistakes. Tim was able to come in and completely finish the entire basement in 3 days. He made everything look perfect and fixed what he could from the mistakes of the other contractor. Personable and did for a very fair price. Would recommended every time"

"I had to have my antiquated 100 amp service at Lake Meade upgraded to 200 ampâ s. I contacted L&M and spoke to Sid Stauffer. He came over almost immediately. I told him what I wanted; he took a look at what had to be done, told me what it would entail, how long it would take, provided me with a written cost estimate (sticking to it with no cost overruns) completing the work in a timely fashion. once I agreed to the terms, he contacted the electric company for a date to turn off the main power as he was installing a new electrical line, putting in additional breaker switches, and upgrading the electrical panel box. He was able to accomplish this all in one day, having Adams Electric come out, turn off the power and make all the requisite up grades. He neatly cleaned up after himself. Once everything was installed, you would never know that he was there. Upon completion of the upgrade, he contacted the city inspector who was included in the cost estimate, coming out the following morning, and signed off on this project, ensuring it was done properly. I highly recommend L&M to anyone who has electrical needs. Respectively, Charles Law"

A truly skilled, well-equipped professional with a truck full of parts that charges $100 an hour can be a much wiser choice than an inexperienced hack, working with inadequate tools and no parts, but charging much less. Often, more experienced professionals get the job done quickly with warrantied work.
2. Compare Travel ChargesRates reflect travel times. Travel charges can have a big impact on your costs and are in some ways easier to compare than hourly rates. Many electricians spend a third or more of their time navigating traffic on their way to a jobsite. Every contractor must find a way to pay for the expense of driving each day.
3. Bundle Repair Jobs TogetherWhen you feel it’s time to call a pro, review your list and then conduct a mini-inspection of your home. Look for faulty switches and dysfunctional or crowded outlets. When the electrician comes, you’ll save money and time by getting everything taken care of at once.
