Project: Repair Window Frames
Location: Bellevue, WA
Date: 02/10/2012
Comment: We have two large double pane windows (aprox 5x8) that have stains and water marks in between the panes and the gas is probably gone, we would like to repair instead of changing the windows.
Project: Repair Window Frames
Location: Point Roberts, WA
Date: 02/09/2012
Comment: I have two sliding (side to side) aluminum windows in my single-wide manufactured home. The fixed pane of each seems to have lost its vacuum and so they are fogged up between the double panes. I can't figure out how to remove them, and don't know if I need to in order to fix them. They seem integral to the frame, though that doesn't make much sense in terms of repairability. I also have a sliding door whose rollers have deteriorated. I have not been able to remove the sliding door, due to the way in which the frame was installed. It won't do what they typically do, which is slide fully open and then lift up out of the track and then downward. I think the reason it won't may have to do with the roller apparatus being jammed in a downward position.
