"We hired IRS Environmental to remove asbestos tiles from a basement. The bid included all necessary DEQ permits, disposal costs, and air monitoring. The job was completed on time and they did a nice job. When I asked for the air monitoring report/results they told me that none was needed because the tiles removed were non-friable, but I thought the bid included the cost for final air monitoring. Other contractors that bid the job also included the final air monitoring cost in their bids. I had to ask for the final disposal manifest for the floor tiles, which was provided timely. I am not sure if I paid for air monitoring that wasn't needed."
