Review from Fuquay Varina, NC - Remodel a Bathroom

JP Custom Carpentry
Customer Rating:
Project: Remodel a Bathroom
City: Fuquay Varina, NC
"Mr. Joseph Parulski and his people did an outstanding job remodeling our master bath shower and completed the project in a timely manner. We had a general idea as to the scope of our project. Joe listened attentively and then and gave us invaluable suggestions as to the direction we should go with our project. We were impressed with the quality of work that we expect to hire his company to do an additional project next spring. "

"Steve McAdams has done work for us for years. He started out fixing tile and a broken shower pan in the master bath, which led to resurfacing (granite tiles and ceramic backsplash) in the kitchen, along with custom shelving and new lighting. That was 8 years ago. About 18 months ago, we decided to add-on vs. move and contacted Service Magic. When Steve's company was on the reply list, I was immediately interested in his opinion and expertise. Our project was challenging due to our lot being in a flood plain and an initial budget restriction. We chose Steve over another contractor due to his engineering expertise, imaginative design, and overall excitement about the possibilities. During construction, we loved the look of the space so much that it evolved from a screened porch with a stone fireplace to a year round sunroom with a fireplace that includes custom casement windows, the beautiful fireplace focal point, a 42" bar between the kitchen and the new space and an 8' opening from the Family Room into the new room. Our family was treated respectfully by all the contractors and change requests were handled patiently and with creativity (i.e. resubmitting permit requests for a room surrounded by windows and ordering transom windows for new interior openings that had been a door or windows. The space is incredible and everyone who enters our home is drawn to it. It is far more beautiful than we imagined and is the result of true collaboration between the homeowners and Steve and his employees. When i enter our home or come downstairs, I feel as if I am at a resort when I look out the back wall of windows and at the fireplace. When we used to entertain, the guests had to be figuratively dragge"

PREPARING FOR YOUR PROJECT

Things to Consider Before You Architects can help you detail exactly what you want, draw up plans and list material specifications. They may also provide oversight for your project while it is in progress. Designers are not licensed or regulated in most states, so it is important to verify their experience and professionalism. In addition to checking out a designer's portfolio, look for design degrees from accredited universities and membership and/or certification from professional organizations. Structural engineers need to be consulted if your project requires any structural changes to the existing building. A structural engineer will provide the required stamped drawings that must be submitted, along with the architectural drawings, to the building department for approval. in Morrisville, North Carolina:
