Comment: The house is 20 years old and now has the original GE Profile under cabinet range hood with outside venting. We want to replace it with Hauslane Model UC-PS 18/30. We have that Hauslane range hood new in box with all pieces/parts. We tried DIY but too heavy at 49 pounds for 1 DIY person to handle by himself (49 pounds is what the installation guide/users manual says). Might be a two person job? Will need to remove that existing GE range hood and replace with the Hauslane - and the existing vent duct the GE hood is now connected to may not be exactly suitable/need modifications to hook right into the new Hauslane. He already put in a socket for the plug-in - whatever that means - and did a little prep work when he had the original hood down to see what is needed. I am asking for a cost estimate to do this range hood replacement job. Thanks.
