Comment: I just would like to get approximate budgetary quote to determine feasibility of building on an empty lot.  Lot is flat,1.3 acres total in Broomfield.  Next door house required a structural floor due to expansive soil.  I do not require a basement and would prefer to save the cost of the structural basement floor and stick with a footing foundation or crawl space if that is possible.  I would like to build a home with Structural Insulated Panels so some extra precision may be required, but at this point I am just contemplating the purchase of this property and would like to know with the soil conditions that most likely exist there if a foundation is closer to $25,000 or $75,000.
