Review from Boston, MA - Install or Replace Ductwork

Absolute Home Comfort
Customer Rating:
Project: Install or Replace Ductwork
City: Boston, MA
"Brendan and Joe came to my house for an estimate. The price was right. No B.S. So I hired them. They are very concerned with the customer experience. E.G. They call if they are running late. They put a mat down at my front door because it was raining. There is a high degree of respect for the customer. I watched Brendan work for a couple of hours (which didn't cost extra!). He and Joe re-did a return duct so I could install an Electronic Air cleaner and humidifier myself. Brendan has an eye for detail in his sheet metal work and leaves a good looking job. This was no hit and run."

"Joe and Matt from Absolute Home Comfort did a great job repairing the ductwork for the dryer vent. The original installation 3 years ago by another contractor was done poorly causing condensation to puddle over our bathroom ceiling resulting in water damage, mold, etc. The duct work in question was also at the back of a tight crawl space through the attic - not an easy job. Athough a little higher priced than the others, these guys were worth it: they did good work, were on time, communication was very clear every step of the way, they were courteous and they were very careful not to leave a mess. Great experience. I will hire them again."

PREPARING FOR YOUR PROJECT

Things to Consider Before You One of the most common central heating systems, forced-air systems heat nearly 35 million American homes today. A forced-air heating system draws the room air through ductwork to a furnace, where the air is filtered and heated. The warmed air is then blown back into the rooms through other ductwork. With older gravity furnaces, the heated air is delivered by natural convection, not by a blower; the warmed air simply rises through the ducts to heat the rooms above. For any central heating project, ServiceMagic can match you to prescreened, customer rated central heating professionals in your area.
