Comment: We have slate siding on our 1950's house. The front has steel for some reason...the previous owners put that on just the front.? We haven't got the slate tested for asbestos, but from what we have looked into it most likely has some low levels. We are open to just siding over the sides and back if we need to do that. From what we understand, it's SUPER expensive to have a hazardous materials team rip off the old slate.? Lucky us to get a house that maybe has toxic siding! We just want to make things look good and insulated. I suppose we will want a little trim too. The gutters and soffit aren't too old and still in good condition. So you may not even need to take anything off for us. We would like a quote soon. I understand that business is busy because of the flooding. We would like to get this done before winter if possible.
