Comment: our builder did not have a soil sample completed and said was using sample from previous land/real estate owner, but now find no soil sample was provided, completed or used to design foundation. Our home is having major structural issues and the structural engineer is needing this information. Our home has been dug up twice. First time by builder and home was not sitting on the pier and beams installed. He did not inform us of issue and found he filled the area and recently dug home up again to find the pier are deteriorated, home is doing the same and now has major structural defects after repairs completed. I have pictures of pier work on outer perimeter and engineering report measurements. I would like to tell soil engineer, I can not put out large amounts of money. This home is breaking us and we are currently in suit and need pricing before can commit to any work. Our home is 5400 square feet.
