Comment: Looking for a 150 amp (30kw to 40kw) standby generator with aluminum enclosure, NG, quiet, ability to withstand the cold temps, auto-start and weekly testing, air-cooled if available in that size, which I doubt. Want it to handle the whole house app 4,000 sq feet. Willing to sacrifice some AC if needed. Have outdoor location already built but would consider other locations. <br /> <br />Would also consider deep cycle battery bank with inverter(s) as an alternative. I currently have a 198 Ah marine battery that works for lights and tv but won't run fridge.
