Comment: I'd like to install a coat closet in the hallway/entryway of my loft in downtown Ann Arbor. The wall where I'd like to install it backs up to the master bedroom, so we would need to bump out a couple feet into that space. There is no plumbing in the wall, but we may need to move an electrical outlet over a bit. Also, since I live in a loft the walls do not touch the ceiling [thus not load-bearing]. It should be a pretty straightforward project - cutting the wall to insert a door w/ simple sheetrock frame, and then building 2 walls behind to connect with existing walls to form the coat closet. I would do it myself but I am low on time dealing with other aspects of the remodel. Thank you.
