Comment: The High efficiency Gas furnace and Hot water heater vent up into the original chimney. Recently, the exhaust is condensing somewhere in the long chimney insert and dripping down into the basement as it connects into the furnace vent. I drained over a cup of condensed water every time I go to the house which is for sale. I am afraid that there is a nest or some collection of debris which is blocking the escape of the effluent gasses and dripping back down. It is a tall 3-story chimney.
