Comment: My crawlspace floods with water when it rains really hard. Water appears to be coming in from the floor joints with the wall as well as certain parts of the concrete slab. The water is flowing into the basement which is getting the carpet wet. The dirt/soil in the area has high clay content and water does not flow away very well. French drains are being installed outside, but I would also like to have a sump pit and pump installed as well.
