Comment: I live in a condo, that has a lot of mechanical noise in the hallways and on the roof. The ceiling and attic do not have any sound leakage from wha ti can tell, but both the hallway facing and exterior facing walls are filtering high frequencies (fountains etc.) and letting in the pulsating mechanical noise. I have authority to change anything from the drywall in, and I was hoping solutions would not require tearing out the walls which would involve a lengthy board approval. We have carpet, so floor is not an issue, and the sound coming from the roof does not appear to be an issue.
