Comment: We have a Hunter Original Cast Iron ceiling fan in our bedroom that has stopped working. Instructions say not to add oil however researching it on the computer states that the Original Cast Iron Hunter does require oil The fan did not seem to have any oil. So we put in 2 oz. Blades are locked and we cannot hear any noises at all. We have several of the same kind of fans in our home and wonder if they all need oil. Would like to hire someone who knows!
