Comment: I rent a c. 1910 queen anne one story house, which has a lot of problems. The owner allows me to do repair. One of the most vexing problems is that a previous tenant installed air conditioners and removed or damaged the aluminum sells on five windows. The air conditioners no longer worked when I moved in and were providing a entrance to small animals and cold air in winter. I have put a lot of money into just repairing and painteing the plaster and want to bring the house back up to some level of comfort, which it does not have. I am an artist and the spacious old house has perfect studio space. I just want to buy replacement aluminum moldings where they are missing. I have worked in construction jobs and am perfectly capable of doing the work myself with minimal tools.
