Comment: Our refrigerator occassionally makes strange knocking noises, and we have noticed small pools of water show up in front of the unit. In addition, when the freezer drawer (below) is opened and the basket pulled out, there is a thin layer of ice all along the bottom of the freezer. I think the ice maker is leaking. <br /> <br />A second minor issue with the ice maker is that the bar that senses that the ice container is full is not pushed up into the off position by the full pile of ice cubes. In other words if you do not go in and lift the bar up, it will never stop making ice. <br /> <br />I am not sure if the noise, the leak, the layer of ice, and the ice full sensor are all linked but I imagine some are the result of the same problem.
