Comment: We are looking to build a one-car attached carport on existing asphalt driveway (which has been resealed in the last year). The new roofing (and new siding if it is needed) should match the existing charcoal-color shingle roof and beige-color vinyl siding. The posts and inner roof ceiling should match the front porch. The placement of the posts should allow enough room for a 2nd car to drive past a car parked in the carport, as there is an existing 1-car garage beyond the carport. Also when a car is parked in the carport, all 4 doors and trunk should be able to fully open without hitting the posts or siding. The purpose of the carport is to protect the car from tree sap, rain, snow and ice, as well as protect the driver and passengers from the elements, as groceries/recycling etc are loaded in and out of the car through the basement door which opens onto this carport. For this purpose, we are looking to maximise the overhang/coverage provided by the carport roof. All work would
