Comment: I have a small job that I want to know if you are interested in quoting There is a small 8' by 16' side porch on my house. I has a roof and three brick footers on the outboard side. I would like it removed and replaced with a Carport, about 24 feet deep and 14 feet wide. The edge of the carport would be a couple feed from the lot line. I do not know the zoning restrictions on how close to the lot line it could go. See attached plot diagram, there is a short driveway not shown on this plot that goes up to the side porch from the street. I do not have drawings, not sure what is needed there to pull permits. About a year ago and looked at doing this with a small addition across the back, the estimate for just the addition from a design build firm came in well over $300 per square foot. The basic house is not even close to that.
