Area Description: Wall framing is exposed / unfinished
Comment: I’ve done the take offs for the application of 2” of foam to be applied on my project here in Park Ridge, IL. This project is a residential home originally custom built back in the 50’s. We are installing a new ADA compliant front porch, new windows, doors, residing new skylights, and re-roofing, residential shingles. The home is poorly insulated and we will create a conditioned space in the attic where we are installing a new HVAC unit. We are also replacing the custom skylight above the indoor pool requiring new framing above the roof with knee walls. We have a catwalk in place to access the pool roof, you can see the existing trusses in the photos I’m sending. The attic space can be accessed from the large gable vents that we will remove and re-frame. I’ll keep the gable vent open and install rigid foam in that small area after I reframe the opening. I’m doing this project with an old friend, an architect named James Clarage. We’ve done many projects in the past includin
