Comment: Last summer I bought a house that was built in 1945. It had zigzag stress cracks when I moved in, but now, one crack in particular, is opening up and one side of the crack is noticeably lower than the other side. I've read about the "transitional" plaster ceilings that were built in this era having problems, and am quite concerned about possible ceiling collapse. If I can get an opinion and a quote, it would put my mind at ease.
