Comment: old grills were there when we bought the house, we need to know if they work or if they need to be replaced. Our concern is the gas line to them and if that is still active.
Comment: I am in the process of purchasing a condo and it includes a gas insert fireplace with burning logs. For some reason the previous owner never connected the gas line into the fireplace although a stubbed gas line looks to be available as I see it protruding into the fireplace insert yet it is capped. In taking ownership of the property I would be looking to have the fireplace inspected & connected but need to understand the costs involved first.
Comment: We are in process of selling home. The gas line currently installed is of the flex-pipe design. According to inspector, it needs to be replaced with black pipe or solid connection/line.
