Comment: I am currently buying a home and the bedroom windows do not meet EGRES standards because of the types of hinges and latches in them require "specialized knowledge" to unhook them and open the window all the way.  So I am in need of an estimate on replacing both bedroom windows.  I am interested in having them replaced rather than just changing the latches, because there is a little bit of mold on the frame in one of the bedrooms and replacing the whole window will get rid of the mold.
