Comment: We have a free standing cinder block garage that was damaged in the April 27th tornadoes. We are accepting bids for the modification and reconstruction of this building. The garage currently stands 33.5' by 25' with an 8' ceiling. Damage: Roof, some cinder blocks on the corner, cracks throughout, drainage around the back wall, all windows (6). Modifications needed: extend length by 45.5', extend height to 12', heating and air, seal cinder block and insulate roof, modify roof with a 6' gable on the rear (see attached drawing). Replace: Roof (with a metal structure), garage door (with roll up, 10' opening). We would like to work with a contractor that would allow us to do some of the work ourselves such as: demolition, purchase of windows, etc. We are interested in speaking with you about ways to save time and money while also building the most usable and efficient work space possible

Comment: We are looking to convert our two car garage into a playroom, yet still have it appear to be a garage from the outside. Our thoughts are to: 1. Add a wall with a door so that we can still enter and leave through the garage. 2. Create a wall to create additional storage. 3. Add carpet.
