Now the tricky part here wasn't the roof,but finding the right material that would look like real slate yet still be cost effective. The solution was simple GAF slateline forty year shingles, the customer loved the ''slate like feel'' minus the slate like cost. So if your budget will allow for natural slate, go for it . Their worth every cent, but if your looking for a more cost effective replacement for slate take a look at slateline. Their beautiful.
