Here are some before pictures of the elevators. Six are passenger and three are frieght. Re-finishing these are a lot of work. The floor incorporates straight grained white oak and mahogany inlaid with brass. The hand rails, doors and operation panels are also brass. After striping the floors, they are then re-finished with a golden oak stain and several coats of polyurethane. To protect the floors for long periods lexan is overlaid.
