About This Gallery

This kitchen was functionally adequate, but the homeowner felt it was time for an update. Custom elements of this remodel included granite countertops, custom cherry cabinets and hutch, and prefinished cherry flooring. We eliminated the peninsula and relocated the oven and dishwasher. We also added overhead and under cabinet lighting and crown mouldings. The kitchen now has a much more open and elegant look.

I thoght it was great. I like the design so much I am thinking of using this design for my kitchen.

The kitchen is OK. However, I think the appliances should have been stainless steel or black. The flooring is too matchy with the cabinets. There should be a bit more contrast, perhaps a porcelain floor in a rich tone. I'm not a big fan of apple green painted walls and a nice tiled back splash all around would've been very nice. The hutch looks great, very attractive. Hopefully, it could become the focal point for the kitchen with beautiful plates and other items on display.
