About This Gallery

This restoration project allowed the homeowners of a historic St. Paul home to gain additional function and convenience, while keeping with the character of the home’s original style. w.b. builders used milled quarter-sewn oak for new kitchen cabinetry and trim, as well as replica wood flooring, handmade tile, soapstone countertops and a farm sink. All scopes of work preserved the historic value of the house. One special feature was the replication of an original “ice box” used for storage.

This looks like a conventional kitchen. They had an opportunity to really bring in some history and uniqueness, but just got the same cookie cutter cabinets and counters. A farmhouse sink does not a historic kitchen make.

Environmental friendly home. Kitchen must have great vents. Granite cabinets with a work area to entertain guest.. Would like to have blocked glass in the kitchen. I really enjoyed the kitchens in your photo show . My kitchen is small with no vents. I also needs a total update. The kitchen is the last thing I haven't done to our home so I would like for it to be wonderful. Help with any ideas?

Love, love, love the horizontal doors above the cabinets at the ceiling. Such a perfect place to store seasonal / occasional items.
