About This Gallery

This design won the coveted Sunset Western Living Award at the 2006 San Francisco Flower and Garden Show. Titled 'Orange and Red Streak,' the garden was inspired by Georgia O'Keeffe's painting of that name. O'Keeffe's bold strokes, fluid organic shapes and luminous colors are stylized here for a modern setting. Like canyons that conceal places of refuge, the sweeping walls entice you into the innermost sanctuary, revealing an oasis of multi-hued trees and a cool waterfall emerging from the rock.
