BATHROOMS: Master Bathroom Remodel Mark Ashdown and Cathy Schoop of Ashdown Construction remodeled this Master Bathroom for a townhouse in Tiburon, CA. Matter of fact, they remodeled the 2½ baths in the home, but this master bath is the showpiece. This room itself took four weeks, as Mark and Cathy took extra care to ensure this bathroom was top shelf.
"We had to reroute all the plumbing," Cathy said, referring to all the work that went into this project. "The toilet was fixed to the wall like a commercial toilet. It was awful." It's not awful now. The moved the toilet one wall over, installed a Jacuzzi tub, installed the detailed vanity with dual sinks, tiled throughout with natural stone Travertine tiles. The shower doors and walls are from Schicker, and the fixtures are Santec. The client chose these styles herself. This master bathroom now has a tub and a shower, a nice residential toilet, and a beautiful vanity, not to mention that the craftsmanship is topnotch, and the design as elegant as it gets.
