Traditional Southern Kitchen

Traditional southern kitchens are very rare kitchens which take their design from kitchens in the American South in the 1800's. These large kitchens often have a traditional brick ovens for baking breads. These kitchens are classically beautiful, but are designed for volume cooking. The kitchen usually has a large pantry for food storage that is easily accessible from the large food preparation counter. The traditional Southern kitchen also usually has a door which leads directly to the formal dining area for easy entertaining.
