We have combined structural design expertise with forensic evaluation and investigative techniques to better serve our clients in projects involving redesign, retrofit, repair, or evaluation of existing construction. As structural engineers, we have found that many of these projects require a forensic evaluation of the problems and concerns of the existing structures prior to design of the retrofit or repair. As forensic engineers, we have found that the assessments and evaluations many times lead to structural repairs, retrofits or upgrades. With Zeyn Uzman, P.E., having our staff cross-trained in both disciplines has resulted in efficient solutions to problems in existing buildings and improved designs for new construction.
