Project: Remodel a Bathroom
This was the first contractor who contacted almost immediately after I submitted my request for contractor information. He came over and reviewed my project promptly. Hal is a very likeable guy and had references. He is very methodical and gives updates to the project on a daily basis. He came in with a price within my budget and did a great job. He will now be doing my second bathroom shortly.

Project: Install Ceramic or Porcelain Tile
Hal is an inexperienced contractor who completely misrepresented himself. We were very clear with the job we wanted done--remove current tile in two bathrooms and install new tile we had already purchased. The tiles are larger than 1'x1' but he did not tell us until today, when he quit on us without the job being complete, that he has never installed tile of this size. We now have two bathrooms with loose tiles that did not adhere properly and grout coming up in multiple places. After 6 days of having our home-life disrupted, one week before having a baby, we are left with a job that may need to be entriely re-done. DO NOT HIRE HIM!

Project: Install or Replace Weatherstripping
Hal showed up on time for the estimate. He was very thorough and on the day of the job ran out to buy more material when he realized I wanted a few more windows than we had discussed. He was a very pleasant man and I would use him again.
