Of the three companies selected by Service Magic, this was the only company who understood the value of our tree. It is a signature Bishop pine tree, 50 years old and the largest in the neighborhood, a true landmark. Vargas Tree Service was an absolute pleasure to work with and my tree has never looked healthier. Ranking the other two companies: one didn't show up for the appointment and the other was clearly irritated about this job since he hoped to have "a really huge job next week." A poor attitude from beginning to end. Life is much too short to work with people who think they're doing you a favor.

The experience with Vargas Tree Service has been extraordinarily smooth and we are very pleased with the result and would recommend them to anybody (that we like) without any reservation. Below is more detailed explanation: For anyone with an experience dealing with contractors, you'd understand how tricky it is to hire a good one. After all, it is your house that they work on. So a lot is at stake. We hired Vargas for a few reasons: 1. They are licensed, bonded and with appropriate insurance/work comp. 2. Great BBB rating - who could beat a A+? 3. Beat the other estimates. Showed up on time and showed sensitivity to neighbors by doing non-power work during the early morning and parking the trucks so as not to disturb another neighbor's garage sale. They worked quickly, but with an obvious eye to safety. They finished on time and left the yard cleaner than it was when they arrived!

The Vargas brothers were extremely responsive and did a great job. I have a lot of expensive plants and some fences undernieth the trees that were trimmed/removed. They did a great job of protecting everything - no damage. They were friendly, curtious and did a great job cleaning up. I would definitely use them again and recommend them to friends.

Extremely professional and courteous. They matched the price from a lower estimate that I had gotten. In the process of getting the job done, a water pipe was accidentally broken, but they got it fixed very quickly without charging me any extra. I really appreciated their effort and the integrity.
