Great experience! Mike,the owner, was great to work with. He came out immediately, explained options, and gave a great price. The scheduled work was on time and quickly done. When it was finished, his crew did a great job with the clean up. I recommended Mike and his company to my neighbor and recommend anyone who needs gas work done to call Tristar.

Every once in a while you run into a person that no matter what you do, they are not happy. This customer has an antiquated fireplace and saw a friend's new fireplace and wanted her's to look the same. She actually took a picture of the other fireplace (Fireplace envy, LOL). We changed the white background to black, painted the entire firebox, and put down 20lbs of lava rock - (double the mfg specs). The customer asked for an additional 20lbs of lava rock, which we didn't have on the truck. We scheduled her for an appointment to add the extra 20 lbs. When the technician came back a few days later, she missed the appointment and was not home.

Price was ridiculous

In most cases, we repair fireplaces without parts. In this case he had two bad parts that had to be replaced. Can't blame him for the price comment, as his particular parts were pricy. We did everything we could to reduce the cost. Sorry for disappointing you on the prices, and thank you for the 5 stars on everything else.
