What It Means to Listen
For a designer, the greatest challenge tends to be just listening to their client. One of the most often heard complaints I have had from my clients is that past designers have not listened to what they want or need in their homes or spaces. Many designers think that only the designer knows what i™s best, so they push forward with their ideas. However, balance needs to be exercised due to the fact that this is also their clients home-not just a show piece for them to publish. My goal is to create a custom space for my client, in that way they have something that no one else has, a space based on inspiration all their own.
What To Expect
Every project begins with the initial consultation: (1) Our designer meets you at your home or the location where the design will take shape.(2) She listens to what you want out of the space; what it will be used for, likes/dislikes, lifestyle and taste. (3) She takes detailed measurements and submits them to her subs.
