The team of contractors were very professional and worked steady each day. Each morning before I went to work, we always discuss the course of action that would be done that day. I never had a complaint about anything they worked on. In some cases, the finished product looked better than what I pictured. I would definitely hire this team and company again.

Brian (the manager) did everything he can to make the project for me easier. Make sure you have everything on the written contract to avoid any misunderstandings. The initial quote I received was not in writing and some things were not included in the written contract. Brian did make sure this was rectified and the missing items were done. Overall, excellent work, great employees (Carlos) and sub contractors. Very professional Price came in high but was able to negotiate down a bit.

Total Renovations and Project Manager Michael Gowiski were stellar contractors to work with. We hired them to refinish our basement after it was severely damaged from Hurricane Irene. Our basement now looks better than it looked before the storm! They even managed to finish the project 2 weeks before originally anticipated. I’ll gladly use them again for any other projects we might have in the future.

Salesman measured incorrectly, needed 2 sump pumps instead of 1 as agreed which increased cost. Did not explain that in addition to removing 2 ft. of drywall, would cut studs 2 ft. up from ground which increased cost of repairing walls. Would have been nice to know up front! Promised better estimate for repairing walls than we could on our own - Not True! After chasing him for 3 weeks after the job was completed, his "rock bottom" price was $3,500! - nearly 50% of the cost of the original estimate. Again, would have been nice to know up front how much it was going to cost to get our basement back to where it was when they began.

This customer’s project called for an additional work area not included in our original calculations . We included the additional footage at no extra charge and the client agreed to pay for an additional sump pump. We provided an estimate for sheetrock repairs which the customer declined as he felt he could save money by doing the work himself. As always we take customer feedback very seriously and will adjust our internal process to prevent a similar occurrence.

Efficient, neat, very nice. From sales to service completion, explained how everything would work. Even spoke w my insurance company to ensure coverage. Would highly recommend!

waterproofing job really does keep the water out. Overall appearance inside basement was not as detailed as we would have liked, but outside details were done very well.

Everyone at Total Renovations was wonderful, from Joe Butler to Michael Gowiski. Michael was terrfic! He is a very hard worker, punctual, and pleasant to work with. I couldn't be happier with the results.
