Larry is a very friendly guy and his guys worked fast on my job.

I'd never built a house before, never even had anything remodeled. Larry provided superior service, advice, knowledge of codes and procedures, all delivered with candor and integrity.

Larry is a great person to work with. He is really good at presenting ideas and helping you decide on what is mostly beneficial. He and his helper did an excellent job with tiling my hallway bathroom and installing a toilet. They are very clean and thorough and they make sure you are satisfied with the overall job done.

Larry Thornhill submitted his bid on 6 April 2011>He was a complete gentleman and explained in detail how and what he would do. He answered all my questions and after reviewing my other contractors information ,I informed Mr Thornhill that he had the job. The job was demolishing the old deck and building a new one using Composite material.The job was started on Monday morning and completed on Wednesday of the same week.The workmanship was excellent and completed much quicker than I anticipated.Larry even added some finishing touches that made the finished deck look something to die for.I highly recommend his company with a 5 star rating.

Larry did outstanding work. My deck is everything I wanted and more. He is a very professional, polite man. He finished the job in record time. It's beautiful. We have used it everyday since he finished it. He is a keeper!

We needed to remove a load-bearing wall from our house which separated the living room from family room, thereby making the house a large, open space. Larry not only inspired confidence in us immediately, his suggestions and vision enhanced the overall appearance of the remodel (and our satisfaction!). Not only was his price estimate exact, his crew had completed the entire renovation (including all inspections) within 2 weeks of taking the job. We were both simply amazed by the quality, speed, and personal attention we were given by Thornhill Construction (Larry), and would recommend them to anyone considering a remodel! Thanks again!!

Unfortunately, I cannot give Thornhill Construction a very good rating. Below are the list of issues we encountered: 1. The shower frame which they installed was the incorrect size. It was supposed to be 30 inches wide. They built it to the same dimension as before. 2. The exhaust fan light switch was supposed to be in the bathroom. They put it outside the bathroom. 3. They used aerosol cans of wall texture which bubbled when painted. 4. The toilet leaked (which I had to fix). 5. The shower head leaks from behind (which I have to fix). There were other issues. In my opinion, their attention to detail was lacking.

There is an old saying;"You can please some of the people, some of the time and some of the people 'none' of the time". Boy, was I blindsided by this 3 Star rating! From the sound of all the complaints I feel lucky to even get 3 Stars! Especially, since I remodeled the bathroom to the 'owner's spec's'. Wouldn't it stand to reason that, if any customer saw something going wrong with the work that they would..stop the work?!? This never happened, in fact, I was lead to believe that the owners were actually 'happy' with our work. Perhaps I fell short in determining the owner's expectations and perhaps they fell short in never expressing them!

Thornton Construction did a fantastic job, they did a good quality job, on time without any cost overruns. They were kind and courteous and on time and I'm very happy with the outcome.

My new deck is sturdy, well made and good looking. It adds a whole new outdoor room to our house. The carpenters were all very capable and the work was done in a timely manner at an affordable cost. I will call Thornhill Construction again when I need work done on my home.
