An Energy Audit is a comprehensive inspection with testing of your home with a Blower Door and Infrared Camera used to identify the energy wasting areas of your home and helps to guide us in remommending solutions. We can discuss alternative sources of heating and how they can be combined with your current system. Solar, geothermal,mini-split heat pumps, wood biofuels and system distribution upgrades can make your energy useage more efficient. We will inform you about low cost and do it yourself options in energy efficiency each situation is unique. Ventilation and building tightness is also a concern and we work with the current standards and with the testing procedure we can calculate the air changes per hour on your home and let you know how it compares to other building and current standards. Tightening up an existing building can save 15% to 30% and make it more comfortable. Safety issues are a high priority and we will identify areas you may not have thought abou

Project: Home Energy Audit
TJ was easy to work with.We set up the time for the audit and he spent 4 or 5 hours going thru all parts of my house ,including plumbing and heating systems[which he is very well informed]. My main reason for doing the audit is an ice dam issue and TJ focused on possible causes and remedies. Several days later I received a written report outlining problems and possible solutions.I have started implementing some of the recommendations. By next spring I should know the result of the project. Overall TJ was great to work with and I would recommend his services. Tom in Cavendish VT.

This homeowner is doing the air sealing and insulation work that is needed to help solve their ice dam issues. We pointed out the areas that need attention and gave advice on how to seal up the problem areas. It can be somewhat technical as several thermal bypass pathways can contribute to the problem. What a great guy Tom is to work with. We wish him the best.

TJ has a lot of experience in the heating business. He spent a lot of time going over the whole house and explaining everything to us. Very pleasant to deal with and knows good contractors in the area. I highly recommend him.

TJ was quick to respond, very professional and patient enough to explain all the steps of my energy audit to me.

This was an interesting project with a historic home and apartment in a converted barn. Alternative energy sources were proposed to solve high fuel costs. A variety of upgrades were placed on the table regarding insulation, siding and windows. Great folks to work with.

Project: Home Energy Audit
I knew our house would benefit from an Energy Audit but I was very wary of what is a rapidly growing market. I ended up with a short list of two and TJ at Thermo was available earlier so after bombarding him with questions on the phone and email, I booked an appt. I could not be more pleased with my decision. He is VERY thorough and explains the findings in a way that is both clear and detailed. He was at the house for 5 hours and covered all my concerns. I look forward to implementing the energy saving ideas put forward by him. Would I use him again? Absolutely. Would I recommend him to a friend/colleague...I already did. Thanks. JH

Project: Home Energy Audit
He is very through, come completely equipped to do the work. While he was here, he would do some extra things. He is very good gives us a report when he is done, scans photo, hand on experience. He is just terrific in his work. It is just perfect, will do a large building and do what ever you need done. He is a very good guy.
