Project: Hire a Handyman
This gentleman, Phil, is TRULY the Guy of (our) Dreams. We had a ton of work to be done due to the unexpected loss of our property manager, and found Phil on line. He is professional, knowledgeable, courteous, hugely reasonable. He went way beyond our expectations in every way. We feel so fortunate that he agreed to take on everything from a major kitchen renovation to window repair to door replacement. There hasn't been a job we've asked him to work on that he hasn't pleased us in every way. Phil has completed every project quickly and professionally. We couldn't ask for more.

Project: Paint, Varnish or Stain Interior Surfaces
We had to do some touch-ups even after he applied two coats of paint. Paint left on light fixtures.

In any painting job, I tell my customers that if they find any missed spots, or any problems that I would be happy to come back to correct them. If this customer had called, I would have addressed the problems right away. It is very easy to miss spots since the walls were very high, (16 feet in spots), and there was little contrast between the existing paint and the new color. I guarantee my work, and I regret that she didn't make me aware of her concerns.

Phil installed outside railings on the front steps of my elderly parents' home. He was prompt, courteous and very efficient. He met his commitments and did quality work. He was respectful and considerate of my family. His project bid was competitive and complete. The finished product looks and works great! I would recommend him highly.

Project: Repair a Deck or Porch
Not recommended! Of the several tasks given, none were completed to satisfaction. We are contending with covered up, shotty work, uneven stairs, leaks and dry rot. We are now paying a "real professional" to re-do what the "guy of our dreams" attempted to get away with the first time. What a waste of time & our money.

This customer had wood rot in a bay window in 2009. I removed the rot-I did not cover it up. I told the customer at the time that they needed to stay on top of paint and caulking or the window would continue to deteriorate. In June of 2011 the customer put this negative review in. It is my opinion that harsh weather and a failure to heed my advice was more at fault here than any "shotty" work.

Phil was great. He got intouch with me right away and came out quickly to give me a quote. He really knew his stuff. We really wanted to try and restore instead of rip out and replace. He did a fantastic job. It was so fun to come home everyday and see everything he had finished. Jobs that would have taking us 100 times longer he did in a few weeks. His prices were great as well. We are so happy we finally hired someone to tie up all the loose ends. Thanks Phil.
