TexasEngineer.com - For the Small Stuff
A Houstonian since 1976 and a registered Texas Professional Engineer since 1981, Gary Beck provides engineering design, inspection, and consulting services to individuals and small businesses.
Gary Beck is SECB certified in the Practice of Structural Engineering, a listed Engineer for the Texas Department of Insurance Wind Storm Program, and a structural inspector for the Texas Residential Construction Commission.
For The Small Stuff! "We fill the need for engineering on small projects. Services may included a digital elevation survey of an existing foundation, deck inspection, beam sizing for a wall removal, or framing design for vaulted ceiling and skylight additions, etc. We support buyers, homeowners, and remodelers who need clear answers for correction, permitting responses, or detailed engineering drawings."
For the Big Stuff Too! Eco provides Engineering and Engineer's Inspection Services for Residential, Commercial, Lodging, Educational, Industrial and Government Facilities. Eco's design engineering services include AutoCAD based construction documents for permitting and building foundations, structures, storm water systems, and detention ponds; and Autodesk Revit based 3D Building Information Modeling for green building practices.
For Your Dream Plans! "Whether you are adding a master suite, a second floor, or building an entire dream home, we can be your engineer. We start by evaluating your existing structure or site, and then discuss, advise, and recommending the next steps. We do all the design for your foundation and framing, and then complete construction drawings in AutoCAD. We then print, stamp, sign and deliver oversized bond paper drawings sets with electronic PDF copies."
Commercial Clients - "Our commercial clients are as diverse as Houston itself - Harris County Education Department, Houston Food Bank, Wells Fargo Mortgage, Country Wide Equity, plus scores of small apartment owners, ... all have benefited from our prompt inspection and concise engineering reports."
Operating from central Houston, our engineering has been applied to hundreds of small and large projects. Our range is from LaPorte/Baytown to to Katy/Brenham; from Conroe/Magnolia to Sugarland/Rosenberg; from Spring to Alvin; and from Galveston to Austin. We have completed engineering on two US Green Building Council certified residential projects (currently under construction in Austin and Houston), plus have two small commercial (lodging and medical) projects in process.
TexasEngineer enjoys explaining the engineering process in plain language to homeowners and executives alike. Experience in clay, sandy-loam, gumbo, and limestone shale allows foundation design coverage from Beaumont to Austin.
TexasEngineer can provide solutions that allow the smallest project to proceed without high expenses. This also helps challenging or major projects to meet budget and shine bright for their developers.
"If I can’t explain so the average homeowner understands it, I am not doing my job. I love helping owners and developers find cost effective ways to improve and build their dream home" Gary Beck, P.E.
