Project: Install Drywall
My initial request was to install and plaster blue-board in a small room with a vaulted ceiling over a stairwell.
While getting estimates, I found that I needed to expand this project into installing three knee-walls, a door, a cubbyhole, blue-board and chimney plastering, and molding for a window, a door, and two railings.
One of the contractors could not entertain this.
Another gave an estimate, but then refused to answer my calls.
Alvaro and his team went above and beyond my expectations to complete the job within a week for a great price.
He is easy to talk to, returned my calls promptly, and his team got the job done right.

I would definately recommend Silfen. They were excellent craftsmen and very professional. They cleaned up after the job and completed the job as promised. I am considering them to complete the rest of a renovation job that I have.

Project: Install Plaster
They repaired a small hole in my bathroom ceiling, plastered and painted it. They did the job quickly and cleaned up nicely afterwards. There was no dust outside of my bathroom at all. They also pointed out a gap between my floor and the tub and caulked it prevent any leaks below.

Initially the result was below average but Silfen responded to our request right away to have the work reviewed. They came back in to correct problems we identified at no additional charge. Great experience working with a professional and friendly group.

This company is a family business and all of the brothers did an excellent job installing a plaster ceiling. They were courteous, flexible with the work schedule and easy to contact. They were careful about covering the area and cleaning up afterward. They also have an electrician that did a great job installing recessed lights. I definitely would hire this company again. The ceiling looks beautiful, they did an excellent job! And the cost was very reasonable as well.

Alvaro was quick to get in touch with me, and was on time for the quote visit and the actual work. He and his colleague were friendly and asked good questions. One bonus was that he emailed back and forth with me after the initial visit to schedule the work and answer follow-up questions. I know email isn't everyone's preference, but for me, all other things being equal, I much prefer communicating over email instead of phone because I have trouble hearing over the phone.
