Original price good. When it came down to do the job he told me I did not mention that I wanted a hand rail which I had done.I did not check contract close enough and it wasn't there. Consequently, the price went up. Very unhappy that I have to hire someone to put in baseboards at the landing,fill in drill hole and repair gauge in plaster and grout in floor tile. He told me it was very simple to do but I don't do that kind of work. I thought I paid for a COMPLETED project. His design is very, very nice and I really like it.

The installers in particular did an outstanding job, solid and seamless, result was great new railing and ballusters.

I am very satisfied with SoCal Stairs. I would hire them again.

At first I was not going to have them come out as two other companies came and I felt comfortable with both of them, but I relented and I am very glad I did. Kevin showed us options that the other companies did not even discuss and the end result is fabulous. While they were not the lowest priced contractor, they came in the middle but we had a feeling that they really knew what they were doing and showed us on his computer the ideas he was trying to explain. The others had pictures, but nothing pro-active. For the money I definitely feel we made one hell of a great deal.

Andy at So Cal Stairs was polite, prompt, accurate, and true to his word. They delivered everything that was promised that exceeded expectations.

Overall great experience. Met with salesman Kevin. Outstanding salesman and followup. I would recommend this company. They were great to work with. Did an outstanding job. Thank you.

My experience with So Cal Stairs was not a pleasent one. They send a guy to install a Hand-Rail, and the guy was very unprofessional, and did not do a good job. he was trying to talk me out of the orginal price quote. Plus he left pencil marks and holes not patched up. I spoke with a SoCal Rep and they came out to try to repair, but did not come with the proper tools to repair the problem. The painter came out to stain and varnish the Hand-rail, I was not to impressed with him as well, additionally, he changed his appt day and time with me twice, and was still late on the day of the job. Bottom line, a supervisor had to come out.

This was a simple wall rail installation. Unfortunately, this customer had little, if any intention of being satisfied. Admittedly, our installer initially left two small pencil marks on her wall (he had forgotten to erase them, as he was bombarded with requests to change the scope of work in the midst of completing the installation in the manner in which he was instructed). We did everything we could to satisfy this customer, but it became clear that she had no intention of paying for the work in full, regardless of the lengths we went to keep her happy.

Kevin: He was on time, had the most info, spent the longest time working out the details. When a hickup about the job occured he listened to his installer and homeowner and fixed the minor problem within hours. His installer was one of the best cratfsman that has worked for me. Their price was not the lowest but much lower than the highest. Everything they said they would do they did.
