Sears gave us a lot of helpful information about siding during our initial meeting with the Sears rep.  He told us a lot of information about siding, how it works, how to judge quality, and what problems to watch for in a siding job.  We are confidant the the materials used for insulation and siding were good. <br /> <br />However, we were pressured by the people who came out to do the job to approve the job before it was finished as we would be out of town at the time it was finished.  We were told our acceptance could be provisional, but no one has approached us about a final acceptance yet.  We are slightly concerned about the fact that all the seams in the siding do not line up above one another; the Sears rep who was at our home until 1:30 a.m. December 23rd had told us this is the sort of problem "we should not have to pay for."  I hope to have further communication from Sears about these seams, and about final approval.   <br />Both sales rep and installers were courteous and neat, and they always called us appropriately to set up times and when necessary to change them.  I basically have confidence in them, but I do want to talk about those seams not lining up. <br /> <br />I'd really rather wait to rate these folks until we are completely through, but perhaps they will see this and communicate with us about the final approval of the siding.
