Sam Rafferty Paving is a family owned and operated from a family that has been in Maryland for generations. I, Sam Rafferty am a third generation paver. My sons have learned the trade from me. The men did a wonderful job. They made sure to grade the driveway so that water wouldn't go into the garage and worked on it until it was right.

Excellent finished job. Crew knew what they were doing and did it right. Old issues were repaired, slopes the way I asked to help with rain. Was always good to talk with, answered questions and did the work. Took a few days longer than planned to start but it was worth the wait.

Although Mr. Rafferty said that full paving would last for "20 years," I did not want to spend $2000 thousand or more dollars especially because, at our age, we did not plan to live here for 20 more years. However, Mr. Rafferty did not make it clear to me that a top coat, which we wanted because of budget,would result in ALL cracks showing over driveway. I was disappointed that the appearance did not improve at all, and may have had my gardener do it for less money.

They provide competitive rates and the asphalt driveway seems to have been done well. But if you have existing lawn sprinkler system don't expect them to respect that. They just bulldozed through my sprinkler tubes even though I specifically warned them and put markers where the tubes are. I ended up having to fix them myself, a lot of work because the inside of the tubes is full of dirt now and clog the existing sprinkler head. They promised to pay me the cost of fixing the sprinkler. But they never returned my call since.

Project: Seal Asphalt
Job completed in time advised. Contractor came back next day to make sure sealing dried well since it was light rainy the day he did job. Highly recommend this contractor !!!!

We had Rafferty Paving totally tear out and expand our existing driveway and replace with asphalt. It looks awesome and we absolutely could not be happier! We would definitely recommend them to family and friends.
