Scott did a terrific job. He did more than was required and for less than his original estimate. I would definitely consider him first for any other projects.

Project: Repair Exterior Trim
Scott has been great. He has worked here for a few days so far. He is very agreeable and professional. He always cleans up, and is very good about going over everything. His communication is very good, and he shows up when he says he will The work is not done yet, but will be by tomorrow. I will post again when it is complete. Here is the second part. Scott did a great job with the project. It looks very good, he was careful with his work, and cleaned up when he was done. We plan to use him again in the spring.

Scott did a fantastic job. Accurate estimate. Reasonable price. Came on time. He even took off his shoes which my wife appreciated greatly! Very careful to clean up after. Would strongly recommend Remsen Home Services to everyone.

Project: Hire a Handyman
Remsen Home Services succeeded where the first contractor failed. The original guy, a subcontractor of the electrician suggested by Service Magic to install my range hood, came back after the job was supposedly "finished" to duct tape the hood vent, which he omitted when he collected my check for his "efforts." The "fix" lasted a few months, then there was more blowback than ever in my face when the hood was on. I then found Scott Remsen, who knew what he was doing. He pointed out that the tape required to permanently seal the ductwork was metallic, special joint sealing tape, not the plastic/cloth duct tape used the the incompetent contractor who did the installation. Scott also showed me that the original contractor cut the vent duct too short, and had tried to seal it with electrician's tape where the pipe met the roof vent. All-in-all, I would give Remsen Home Services an A , and would highly recommend me to my friends.
