In 37 years of cutting it, gluing it and hanging it, the Boca Raton resident has polished his applications of vintage papers, silk wall coverings, interior or exterior painting and faux finishes nearing perfection. Raymond started in 1970 after serving four years in the Air Force as a crew chief on a B52 aircraft, he became a union painter and paperhanger. After three years apprenticeship he worked for Cleveland’s leading custom painting and paper hanging firm called Holziemers Interiors, and continued to work for them in Florida off Worth Avenue when he moved in 1986. Whether it is painting, installing custom coverings or removing wall coverings, Raymond truly loves what he does for a living. Raymond believes in being on time, so much so, that he will show up for an estimate fifteen minutes early. Raymond’s work is precise and meticulous, and is best known for his custom coverings from untrimmed custom French Water colors, murals and every type in between. His surface prepartion is the main reason that his painting last for years. He also has worked with the education department on Professional Testing and helped to create the test lay out for the Painters and Paperhangers in the Florida area and six other states. However, Raymond’s work is never done, not only can he hang paper, his painting is of the highest quality, allowing high gloss finishing, if desired. Preparation is essential to all work. He is knowledgeable in textures and faux finishes. Raymond is also skilled in wood graining to front doors and garage doors, which is very popular in South Florida. In remodeling, he works with the best trades in South Florida and can handle all phases from rough to finished permits. Raymond travels to work from Broward to Palm Beach. Raymond is also certified in mold testing and remediates. When you are looking for the job to be done right the first time, give him a call.
